We start by cleaning the return loop with a wire brush to get to the bare metal.

After broadly heating the work area, apply your flux. Be sure to use enough flux to get the proper flow.

The flux turns thin and watery to indicate that it's time to lay the SSF-6 Silver Solder rod in. Keep the metal at a dull red--never bright red.

Lay the rod in and flow it out with the torch. When the rod runs flat your repair is complete.

With a strength of up to 100,000 psi, the end result is stronger than the parent metal.
