Aluminum Welding: Super Alloy 1

#1 selling rod in America--used by:     radiator shops     plating shops     auto body shops     antique auto restoration shops

There are several occasions when our Super Alloy 1 is advantageous over the Super Alloy 5 when welding aluminum. Some examples are:

  • Welding next to heat sensitive areas such as rubber, paint, plastic etc.
  • Joining aluminum to other metals
  • Welding hard to reach areas
  • Welding large masses of aluminum that dissipate the heat quickly (such as oil coolers)

Super Alloy 1 is a solder which melts at 350o (enabling you to make repairs with nearly any heat source including a heat gun, soldering iron, or propane torch), and bonds at 20,000 psi.

Unique Characteristics:
  • 350oF working temperature prevents warpage and base metal damage
  • Can be used to join aluminum with a soldering iron
  • Rod and flux work synergystically to prevent oxidation during soldering.
  • Super Alloy 1 flux is completely non-corrosive and washes off with warm water
